Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are looking for just the right home for Zeus. Many of the volunteers at the shelter where he has lived much of his life totally adore him. Everyone is rooting for him. We are fostering him in our home currently and so know him extremely well. The good news: Zeus is a beautiful, loving, playful dog who is extremely loyal and devoted to “his person”. He will follow you around and want to be wherever you are. He loves to lie at your feet while you’re on the computer or beside you while you’re watching tv. He’s just dying to play sometimes and is really funny when he gets going. He gets along with any dog we’ve put him with (currently he living with four other dogs). No problems at all. He is great on walks in terms of ignoring other dogs and people and really just loves “sniffing” along. He does pull hard, but that could be trained. He is about 43 pounds and is about 4 ½ years old. He doesn’t chew things up or destroy things. Almost a perfect dog.
However, Zeus will need an experienced owner in a quiet household in order to become the dog he can be. While almost perfect, he is very afraid of strangers (coming into the home – not on walks) and, at this point, will not warm to anyone for a couple of days. He will bark at them and sound pretty scary. He has never bitten anyone at all – just looks and sounds scary. We are working on training him to accept strangers into his home, but this will be a process that needs to be continued.
So, a beautiful terrific dog who needs just the right home. If you are interested, please feel free to call us or email us to obtain other information and, perhaps, to meet him.
