Olaf is a dashingly handsome, mixed-breed pup that traveled all the way from Doha, Qatar to find his new forever family. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
On the outside, Olaf is reminiscent of a small Great Dane. He has a sturdy build with giant paws and a big bark. On the inside, Olaf is a sweet and silly goofball who just wants your love and attention.
Olaf has a bit of a stubborn streak and will need a strong owner. He has a lot of energy, and would make an excellent hiking or walking partner. In fact, he would be a great match for an outdoorsy type of person or family. Because he can be a bit like a bull in a China shop, he would probably do best in a home with older children.
Despite his big personality, it is important to remember that Olaf is still very much a puppy. He still gets frightened of things, and will need proper direction and boundaries to build his confidence. With the right guidance, we are certain that Olaf will blossom into a well-balanced, loving and loyal companion and family member.
Did we mention that Olaf loves warm hugs? Come on down and give him one!
Olaf is located in Philadelphia, PA, and is available for adoption in PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD and VA.

More about this shelter
National Greyhound Adoption Program was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1989. Our main goals are, and always have been to help find loving, adoptive homes for former racing greyhound dogs, to provide superior knowledge and support for greyhound dog adopters and other adoption groups, to educate the public and spread awareness about the plight of the greyhound, and to provide specialized medical care specifically geared towards the greyhound. Due to the recent fall of the greyhound racing industry, we have switched our focus to helping salukis, saluki mixes, wadi dogs and other sight hounds from the Middle East.
