My story

Vanya is a big, but shy girl, who came into the rescue as a kitten. She needs a special home with people that will allow her to just do her own thing and who will always keep her indoors. She would not be able to survive outside and it would frighten her. It takes Vanya a very long time to trust you enough to allow pets, and even then it's usually only when food is involved. But she rewards you with purrs, chirps and meows. She loves to talk and will happily hang out near you for comfort. She enjoys watching you and will blink lovingly for as long as you're willing to stare. She loves wet food and Temptations treats. This is how you can bribe her for some pets. Just don't expect it to happen overnight. She gets along fine with other kitties, but can get a little pushy at feeding time (if they allow it). She's not mean, just wants to check out all the bowls to make sure she's not missing anything better. Vanya might not ever be a cuddly lap cat, but she's pretty cool to have around and just might surprise you with some love.

More about this rescue

Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
