My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke and Daisy (MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER)

Duke and Daisy are siblings that will be 2 years old in May. They love to be together. They very rarely fight, and love to wrestle and chase each other. They share food well and eat out of one big dish. They are great with kids but not sure about younger ones as they may knock small children down due to their large size. A house with a regular routine would be best. They have had a few accidents in the house because currently the routine varies quite a bit (Gone to long etc.)

Duke

Duke is a big, loveable goofball. He loves to be close to his people, sleeps in bed with them and cuddle at night. He loves to be outside, even more so if it is cold out. The dog park is one of his favorite places. He will run and play with other dogs the entire time. He is great with other dogs, both big and small. He is gentle with the small ones. He has never been exposed to cats. He rings bells on the door when he wants to go out, both to go potty and just when he wants to go out and play. Favorite toys are elk antlers, empty water bottles inside of socks and chewing up cardboard boxes. As weird as this sounds, he loves to watch baseball and football on TV. He will sit next to you on the couch and sometimes watch an entire game. He doesn’t chew on anything in the house, on rare occasions he has taken some food off the edge of the kitchen counter. Overall, he is a big, sweet, lovable dog.

Daisy

Daisy is shorter than duke but makes up for it with her dominance over him. She is definitely in charge of the two. She gets along with the other dogs at the dog park also. She is quiet most of the time unless someone comes to the door or she hears something outside. Then she will let you know of “potential danger” which is typically the UPS driver. She also loves to be outside and play, especially in the snow. She also loves chewing on antlers and is known to steal them away from her brother. Chewing up a cardboard box is also great fun for her. She also has a ratty old stuffed toy she loves. The owner’s favorite time with her is the evening when she comes up and snuggles up to them on the couch and sleeps with her head in their lap. She has extremely soft fur so petting her is a pleasure. She has beautiful brown eyes and is just overall a beautiful dog. She is also as sweet as can be.

Duke and Daisy are both altered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Secure, visible fencing is required to adopt these Pyrs. Duke and Daisy are not trained livestock guardians and will be placed as indoor, family pets only.

An adoption application, site visit, and adoption fee are required to adopt Duke and Daisy.
