Bruce is probably the sweetest and mellowest pup we ever met. We call him the gentle giant. He is 86 lbs and adorable.
Bruce came to the backyard of a house in Pasadena, and escaped when the owner of the house was trying to take him to rescue vet. Because of the busy traffic area where Bruce was running around in, Pasadena Animal Control was contacted and he was taken to the pound, from where he was rescued by us.
He again escaped from the vet and was found again by our volunteers.
However, once he went to his foster home, he did not try to escape.
It seems he only escapes when he is unsure of a place. A leash and harness, and a week of decompression can do wonders to curb that instinct until he feels safe.
Bruce gets attached very fast, and he is very loving in his own quiet way. He is also extremely loyal, and sensitive.
Bruce is one of the smartest dogs you will ever meet. He looks deep into your soul and you know he has assessed you.
He is very calm, and very observant of his surroundings.
He is learning to be loved, and waits to receive affection, and attention.
He loves to stay close to his humans.
He is very very reserved, gentle, and hungry for love.
He needs a home where he is the priority and his parents understand his needs to be kept safe.. He needs a parent who is kind, loving, and really caring, someone who will love to bond with him, and proudly share every winning moment with him, whose presence will make this gem of a guy happy and secure.
