Age: 3 weeks as of 12/29/20
Suspected breed: Pit bull mix
Mama Nectarine and her three 3-week old puppies Tangerine, Clementine, and Cherry were picked up by a local animal control in Maryland. Upon arriving at the shelter this little family had a check up and it was discovered Mama Nectarine's milk was completely dried up so she was unable to continue nursing her babies. It was clear she had been bred over and over again before being dumped when she could no longer make money. Mama and babies are all safe in foster homes and will never see the inside of a shelter again!
All three babies are healthy and are adjusting well to eating puppy mash. At best guess these babies are three weeks old as of 12/29 and will be available to go to their forever homes around 2/2. Like all puppies, they are looking for adopters with the time, patience, and resources to train them to becomes the best dogs they can be. Due to their young age they will most likely do fine with dogs, cats, and kids with a proper introduction.
To adopt Tangerine, please apply at www.keytolionsheart.org/apply!
Please note we cannot guarantee the breed or adult size of any of our dogs. All our dogs are working on their crate and house training. Due to a high volume of applications received, please expect up to 5 weeks for an applications volunteer to be in touch.
