My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2 yr old female - special needs - must be an only cat

Meet Puma!

This adorable girl is a little timid when you first meet her, but once she warms up she is super sweet, and very playful.  Se is 2 years old.

She is special need and needs to be an only cat or in a household with other Feline Coronoa virus positive cats. She tested positive for Feline Coronavirus (the testing that was done to identify this virus is specific to feline enteric coronavirus and does not detect SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent for COVID-19. Feline enteric coronavirus is species-specific and does not infect humans) Although she tested positive at her re-check appointment, the virus should not affect her longevity or quality of life (she is no longer experiencing any clinical signs), however it is recommended that she go to a home with no other cats, with no intention of getting more cats in the home.   Coronavirus is mostly common as a kitten virus,  and according to the vet most kittens by 9 months - 1 year test negative. However, for some reason Puma has not out grown it.  We just had her test in July 2022 and she is still positive.

We have not seen her around dogs or kids so unsure how she would do with those.

This animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been FIV/LeLV tested (negative), microchipped, and on flea prevention.  The adoption fee is $50.00 If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application at ajssearchandrescue.org

More about this rescue

AJ's Search and Rescue Is an animal rescue which was founding in Sept 2016. The rescue is named after our founders first "Foster Failure". Angela aka AJ, fostered over 140 dogs through a previous organization, which lead her to adopting (foster failing) her 125 foster dog (Serchee).

As time went on AJ decided it was time to start yet another business and this time it was a non-profit 501c3 animal rescue. All animals that come through our organization are in foster homes, which allows a new adopter to know more about the animals in many aspects.

Any and all donations and adoption fees go towards proper medical care and feeding all our animals.

We strive to get animals off the streets and into new homes so they can live a wonderful life.
