Quirt is about two and a half years old, and he's been with us for about two years. We had to trap him out on the Pyramid Lake Reservation, where he was running loose with some other dogs.
He took a while to come around but he's an awesome pup now that he's learned to trust humans. He does have Pannus, which is an auto-immune eye condition, where excess pigment get in the lower part of the eye. As a result, seeing things up close can be difficult. Fortunately, it us controllable with eye medication.
If you are interested in Quirt, it would be advisable to check with your veterinarian to see how much the medication costs. We get a discount from our vet, so the price may vary.
Quirt has been doing great in his foster home, loves the other dogs, and older kids. He walks on a leash now, and is definitely ready to find his forever home.
All of our dogs are available for a $200 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.
To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. 'Invisible' fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you.
Please contact us at: dogtownmutts@gmail.com for details.
Please note: we typically do not do 'out of the area' adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.
