My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

URGENT!! Brock needs to find a foster while his foster mom Lindsey goes on maternity leave!! Meet medium size and medium energy Brock who needs a serene and calm place to retire while his foster has her baby. Brock would really like this to be his forever home too- so a foster who is ultimately looking to adopt would be awesome. Brock was adopted over 6 years ago after he was rescued by RCR and transported from a high kill shelter in Georgia to Washington state. Sadly, now 8-year-old Brock is again looking for his forever home as his owner of 6 years has a new girlfriend who doesn’t like Brock. Brock is back with his former foster in Moses Lake while he awaits an experienced, patient and smart adopter who has no other pets or children. Brock weighs just 28lbs and is still as active and playful as he was years ago. He’s had a lot of changes lately, so Brock needs an adopter who is knowledgeable about fearful dogs and who is willing to give him time to adjust. Brock has made such improvement while in Lindsey’s care that we just can’t imagine having to give up on him now. He likes daily walks and needs an enclosed, fenced in yard. Due to his fear issues, Brock is not a candidate for apartment life. Brock is a pretty calm boy once he feels comfortable with you and will gladly be a couch potato with you and more likely your lap warmer! If you give him the ability and space to choose the amount and type of interaction he wants, he thrives! Brock craves attention and loves to snuggle. He would love to be with a single person who is without kids and is not away from home for too many hours a day. Brock is totally house trained and crate-trained. He gets along well with other dogs after proper slow intros, but really just prefers being with you, his people! Brock happily sleeps and hangs out in his crate. He is very food motivated and is very smart. He knows his basic commands and sits before going in a door and on command. He is also quite good with “stay” and will give you his “paw”. Brock LOVES squeaker toys! Loud and sudden noises startle him and therefore is better in a quiet neighborhood. This is Brock’s last chance at finding an experienced and caring foster to adopter who can make Brock the center of their world. We are hoping that we can find Brock a forever home that will guarantee him a happy future. Brock is neutered, micro-chipped and fully-vaccinated. For questions and a conversation with his foster mom Lindsey, please email Lindsey at rcrlindsey@gmail.com. Brock will be in the Bonney Lake area and ready to meet next week. Best boy Brock might be a bit complicated, but if you want a ‘project’ and to help save a life- Brock will be totally worth your time to check out. He will repay you with kisses and loves and gratitude forever! HELP US SAVE HIM!
