Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fluffy is a friendly, sweet, and playful approx. 6-year old 47-lb female spayed Black Shepherd mix who just wants to give and receive love. Fluffy was very timid and shy when first rescued, as she was surrendered by her previous owner’s family after her owner passed away. Since being in foster care, Fluffy has overcome those feelings of bewildered abandonment and blossomed into a beautiful, energetic girl who’s eager to be loved. She loves being around people and is quick to make friends, seeking approval and attention in her happy, peppy way after she first greets you with squeals of joy or a welcoming bark. If Fluffy can be near you, all the better—she likes to be close, content to stretch out on the floor by your feet, lay on a dog bed (or dog-friendly furniture :) nearby. She is definitely happier as an indoor dog, but will want to be wherever you are, inside or out, and likes to go in and out on her own. She likes being on a leash, and would respond well to leash and other gentle motivation-based, positive-reinforcement behavior training. Fluffy does better with medium-to-large male dogs over females, and can be too rough and dominant with female dogs, or dogs under 40 lbs. During her time with her foster family, she’s learned to use a doggy door and is used to sleeping away from humans in a designated doggy area with her foster pals. Eager-to-please and always happy to see you, Fluffy is ready to become a get-up-and-go or stay-home-and-chill companion for an individual or family. Please consider giving Fluffy a second chance at a loving, attentive home with you.
*All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
