My story

This pretty little lady is Norma! She came to us as a stray in November of 2020. Soon after arriving we found out that Norma was an expecting mother. After giving birth and being a good mommy to 10 pups Norma is now ready to find her new family. All of her puppies have found good homes and she deserves the same. Norma is a sweetheart who loves affection, sitting on laps, and playing ball. She knows basic commands and walks nicely on leash. Norma would do best in a home with kids over 10 & still has to be dog tested. If interested, contact us via Email @ animalshelter@islipny.gov or by phone @ (631)224-5660 💙 LIKE & SHARE to get her a home!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption procedures have changed. Our new procedures are as follows: First view our animals on our facebook page under photos, on Petfinder.com or Adopt-A-Pet.com. If you are interested in any of our animals, email us at animalshelter@islipny.gov and we will send you an application to complete. When you email the application back to us, please list the dog/dogs name and tag number. Once the application is complete and we have all the proper paperwork, we will contact you to make an appointment to come see the animal. Appointments will be spread out so we don't have two families here at once. All introductions and meet-and-greets will be done outside. We thank everyone for your patience, understanding, and support through this difficult time. Everyone stay safe and healthy! .... In order to adopt an animal from us you must first meet the animal in person. Once that goes well, you will be required to fill out the application including personal information, current pet information, and vet information. We require you to do a "meet and greet" if you have other dogs, to ensure all dogs get along. Once approved, you can come pick up your pet! Adoption Fees: Cats - $100 Dogs - $131 Fees include the cost of spay or neuter surgery, micro-chip and vaccines.
