Gemma is a 5yo chihuahua mix that I rescued about 4 years ago. I am crying as I write this because I really do love her and wish I could keep her but I feel it is an injustice to her. She needs lots of attention and cuddles and loves walks. I am in the medical profession and work long shifts and I just haven’t been able to give her the attention she deserves and I unfortunately don’t have a close friend or family member to take her. She is (mostly) housebroken but has had issues with peeing places other than her pad (if unable to take her outside). She does have separation anxiety so that could contribute. She is a healthy girl but has had subluxing patellas (knee caps shift out of place occasionally so sometimes she will hop and it will go back into place) since she was young. Doesn’t stop her from walking or running around. She’s a sweet girl and needs a family who has time to devote to her and be patient with her because she is frightened by new people.
