Macy needs an adopter with: Small dog experience, no children

Update 2/11: Macy has come a long way in a few short weeks! She no longer hides under furniture and has integrated into the chihuahua pack made up of her foster brothers and sisters. She loves hopping onto her foster mom's lap for snoozing and pets any chance she gets, and nips at her canine foster siblings behinds trying to get them to play with her. She is still very sensitive to handling and freezes on a leash, so a home with a fenced in yard and plenty of patience would be best for her.

Poor Macy has not had it easy so far in life. She lived with the same family for her whole life until she was given to another family. The other family had her for only ten days before surrendering her to our local shelter. She was absolutely terrified in the shelter and no doubt confused what she had done to end up there. Why had both her families given up on her? What did she do wrong? Macy is understandably very confused and scared at the moment. She spends most of her time hiding anywhere she can find - her crate, the corner, and under her foster mom's bed. She is slowly warming up with yummy treats and plenty of time and space.

Due to how fearful she is, Macy requires a home with no children. We prefer her forever family have chihuahua or small dog experience.
