My story

Zack was born in the home of one of our fosters. He grew up being bottle fed and has grown in to a very social kitten. Zack loves to have a playmate in the home with him as he does have a good amount of energy. Zack loves to walk on his foster parents shoulders and the back of the couch to get kisses from his foster parents. He will follow you around and beg for attention. Zack is about 11 months old but is small for his age. Zack is on prescription cat food (Purina EN) because he does have a sensitive stomach. If his stomach does get upset he will sometimes not make it to the litter box to poop. We are not sure if he will need to stay on this food, but it's helping him now so we are keeping him on it. Update 4/26/21 Zack is eating other canned foods and seems to be doing well, so there's a chance he may be able to come off of the Rx food. We need a dedicated cat parent that will be willing and able to handle Zack's needs and get him the appropriate vet care. All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, FeLV/FIV tested, and current on revolution flea prevention. No declawing. Indoor homes only. If this pet is listed, they are available! Please head to rescueangelssomd.com for an adoption application.

Why adoption is a great option

Zack, a White Plains Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in White Plains, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in White Plains.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in White Plains already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a White Plains breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in White Plains paves the way for another one to be saved.
