My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear Reader,

My name is Midori and I would like to tell you my story. Do you have a few minutes to spare? Before I was born, my mother was living in the wild fending for herself. The hoomans say that she was something called a feral colony cat. She gave birth to me in a junk yard and took care of me for a little while, but eventually she left me behind or she was killed. The hoomans really are not sure because one day she simply disappeared. I was found when I was about six weeks old and I was so scared. It took the hoomans hours to catch me, but when they finally did I gave up. They say that I was in terrible condition as I was something called emaciated. You see, I had been fighting really hard to find food on my own but I just couldn’t find enough. The hoomans worked very hard to take care of me. In the beginning, I had to eat tiny meals frequently to stretch my belly back out. With time, I gained weight and became healthy!

I have worked so hard to be such a good girl, but no one has adopted me yet. I first came to the hoomans in July of 2019 and I am still here. Why am I still here? I am the longest resident of Tiny Toes Kitten Rescue. I am a playful girl, but I also like to hang out. I loooooove getting pets, but I am still not sure how I feel about being held. The hoomans and I are not sure that I would get along with dogs, but I coexist well with the other kitty in my foster home. I have lived with children before and did okay, but I may do best with ones that are a bit more respectful of me. I am a very sweet girl, but I am very shy in the beginning with new people. It takes me quite some time to warm up, but if you give me the chance I promise to be the best girl.
The hoomans say that it would be best to meet me “virtually” via video chat because new people tend to scare me at first. Is there anyone out there who will love me? Will I ever find my forever family? I hope you will meet me..

Love always,
Midori
