Chip came into the rescue in July as an owner surrender. He is currently living with a foster-based trainer and is ready to move to a foster home

Chip is a sweet, loving boy who wants badly to please :) He can be shy at first with people he doesn't know, but given a few minutes - and especially given a few treats - he warms up quickly.

He needs a home with a family experienced with the breed, who will give him time to relax and settle into a new home.

Chip would love an active family to take him out and about and continue to introduce him to new people, places and things.

He would enjoy a fenced yard where he can run and play in nice weather.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Please fill out an application at our website - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application

2.

Home Check

After we process the application, including vet and personal references, we visit your home to see where our pet would be living.

3.

Meet the Pet

Once the application and home check are approved, we bring the pet to your home to meet all family members and other pets.

Additional adoption info

Anyone wanting to adopt one of our animals must first fill out an application. We check personal, vet, and landlord references (if applicable). If the application is approved we will schedule a home visit by one of our volunteers. Once you are fully approved to adopt, we will schedule a meet and greet with the dog in our rescue, and all family members and other pets. If everyone agrees, you will be able to adopt.

We do not transport our dogs out of state. Anyone living outside of CT within the New England area will need to come to CT for the meet and greet and adoption, once an application is approved. We do not adopt our dogs to families living outside of the New England area.

More about this rescue

We are an animal rescue working to save animals from bad situations, care for any medical or behavioral needs, and place them in wonderful forever homes. Dogs in our rescue mainly come from municipal pounds within CT. We also take owner surrenders and occasionally will take dogs from outside of CT, if we have room in the rescue and the dog's or cat's situation is urgent.

We are approved as a 501c3 public charity by the Internal Revenue Service, are a tax exempt public charity with the State of CT, and hold an active CT animal import license.
