Say hi to Maverick. He's a 2 year old black tri Australian Shepherd. He's been with his owner since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, his owner doesn't have the time to commit to Maverick's needs and has come to the sad decision to rehome him in hopes that he will find an active home that better fits his needs. Maverick is a typical 2 year old Aussie. He has a lot of energy. He loves people and does great with cats. A year ago, he went to doggie daycare and was fine there. He didn't play with everyone, but he didn't mind the other dogs either. But since covid, his engagement with other dogs has been limited and he'd become reactive on the leash. Given the opportunity he will also chase bicycles - he's an Aussie, after all! When the weather is nice, his current owners will play frisbee with him - Maverick LOVES frisbee and if given the chance, will play for hours! Maverick is neutered, he's up to date on all his vaccines and he currently gets groomed regularly. He's great at the vet and the groomers. Because he's been getting limited exercise, Maverick needs to lose about 5 lbs. The perfect home for Maverick is an Aussie savvy, patient, active, adult home that is committed to training him and providing him with mental and physical exercise.
