Little Thunder is a paralyzed Australian Shepherd who was born in November, 2020. We haven't been able to determine why her back legs don't work but what we do know is this snuggly little girl is overflowing with character and moxy.more.
Little Thunder is not able to control her bathroom functions but she does just fine wearing diapers.
I you follow Emotional Rescue on Facebook, you already know that she loves to play with other dogs as much as she loves to warm up laps and snuggle in.
Adopting a paralyzed dog can be an amazing experience. Toss out any romantic notions you have and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and clean poop. You'll also be giving daily baths and washing dog laundry. Having said that, giving these dogs their best lives (I care for a bunch) is some of the most fun I've ever had.
To be considered as an adopter for Little Thunder, please have another dog for her to play with and a fenced in back yard so she can tear around in the back yard with her wheels. When you email or complete the adoption application, please make a comment that you understand that she is paralyzed. Its amazing how many people do not read the description included with a dog's adoption picture. To meet Little Thunder, apply at EmotionalRescuedogs.org.
