My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Big lady Agnes is a loving shy mama Mastiff we rescued after she was dumped by the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit.  When we rescued her, it was clear she had many litters over the years.  She was confused and totally shutdown.  She did not understand why she was left in a strange area with none of her puppies.  She has been making great progress since that day.  She is slowly warming up to people.  She is a little unsure around men and has some hip dysplasia. She loves gathering up all her toys and making a big pile to cuddle with.  She clearly was a great momma.

Agnes is looking for a calm house to live out her golden years.  She would most likely go great with a like sized relaxed male.  We do not know hoe she does with cats and she would prefer older kids.  Apply to adopt today!

Agne's approximate birthday is 1/16/2017

More about this rescue

WHO WE ARE: The Buster Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing pit bulls and bully breed mixes. Through decades of cruelty, unethical breeding and irresponsible ownership, a once beloved family dog has now found itself the victim of discrimination and abuse, and a source of misdirected public fear. We believe that every dog is an individual, deserving of a loving home, proper care, and a fair shake, regardless of breed. We hope our efforts lead to a better educated and more compassionate public.

The Buster Foundation is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, and does not operate a shelter. All Buster dogs are cared for in foster homes by volunteers who commit their homes and free time to rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption efforts.

We respect our volunteer's fierce commitment to our dogs and trust you will understand why we cannot always respond immediately to requests and inquiries. We make every effort to have a volunteer respond to inquiries and questions within 72 hours. We thank you for your understanding and patience! Please try again if you do not receive a response within 72 hours.
