**Please read the profile in its entirety. The adoption process and their basic needs are addressed in the profile. We are an all volunteer organization and are busy caring for our foster animals so we cannot respond to emails that ask questions already addressed **

Adoption Process:

Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab.

Step 2:    PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable)

Step 3:    IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet.

Step 4:   If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.

** PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT AN INQUIRY VIA THE ADOPTION SITE (PetFinder, AdoptAPet, etc.).  IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION NOT ADDRESSED IN THEIR PROFILE, PLEASE EMAIL pawprintsnky@gmail.  The adoption process and their basic needs are addressed in the profile.  We are an all volunteer organization and are busy caring for our foster animals so we cannot respond to emails that ask questions already addressed **

King Tut (aka Tut-Tut)
Available:  Yes
Gender: Male
Age: Approx. 7 yrs
Weight: 11 lbs
Breed: Yorkie
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Adoption Fee: $200.00 (plus tax)
Foster Location: N Ky.   Applicants must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY, no exceptions.

Cats: He ignores them.

Home Recommendation: As he's a little uncoordinated at times, a fenced in yard would be great.  He only likes to stay outside for a few minutes but does enjoy running around and checking out all of the smells.  May not make a great walking partner.

Kids: Not recommended.  He has some vision issues so can be snippy when things are near his face.

Crate Trained: Honestly, he's never been crated in his foster home.

Potty Trained: He won't alert you for a need to go outside, but is fine if you keep him on a schedule.  The meds make him have to go a little more frequently so puppy pads are down in his foster home (it's improving as he adjusts to his meds).

Dogs: Big or small, he ignores them.

Leash Manners: He's alright BUT he has vision issues so can tend to be a bit snippy when you're attaching or removing the leash.

Tut-Tut came to us when he was having cluster seizures.  The shelter was not able to manage them and he was deteriorating.  His seizures are well managed with a combination of Phenobarbital (given every 12 hours) and Keppra (given every 8 hours).

He's probably the easiest foster his foster mom has ever had.  He's low maintenance, likes to spend brief periods of time outside, learns routines quickly, doesn't jump on furniture, and is happy to have a comfy dog bed where he can snooze.

Tut is an imitator, so if you have a dog who knows the rules of the house and has good manners, Tut will quickly pick up on what's expected of him.

His previous seizures have left him with some minor vision issues but he has no problem getting around, so no worries about needing to keep furniture in the same place.

He's fine being carried and is a sweet little guy.

His listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application

Please be honest!  We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful.  If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied.  It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable.  You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting.  We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success.    We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references.
