My story

Meet Charlie HaJu,

Since you're reading this, you're obviously looking for a new member to add to your furrever family, which is great because I am looking for my furrever family too, I hope that it is YOU!

I don't care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, I'm approximately 3-year-old and that's me in the pictures. But you probably already knew that because of my 62 lbs of handsome good looks.

My foster mom says I am a sweet heart. I love to play with water. I love it when my foster mom turns on the water hose, I could play with it for hours. I love to cuddle with my foster mom and when she scratches my back, I don't want her to stop. I do get nervous meeting new people so if you know how to help me with this I would be so happy!

Basics: Hound mix. Male. 1.5-year-old. 62 lbs. Neutered. Microchipped and up to date on vaccination. Friendly. Good with older kids. Not good with cats. Does better with female dogs then males.

Approve Application

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Pay Fee

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made on our website through PayPal, Debit Card or any major credit card.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required. Adoption fees with transport included start at $400 higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.

We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
