My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wesley is a young boy who is ready to play. He was supposed to be euthanized at the shelter because no one taught him the difference between playing with other dogs versus people. He is about 1.5 years old, but still acts like a puppy.

He has been living in a foster home with 2 large huskies. He loves to play with the male husky. The female husky doesn't like to play and he respects that once she told him no to playing. He has been to dog parks and on long hikes. He is walked several times a day and really enjoys it. He walks nicely on a leash.

He is still learning how to play with people more nicely. When he gets really excited he can be a little mouthy. He does take correction when you tell him to stop doing it. He does not do this with his foster parent anymore. He needs to be exposed to more people to learn that he cannot do this to anyone. It has been difficult for him to get this experience due to the pandemic. We would prefer him to be with kids 8+ or no kids at all. He just needs practice and he is a quick learner.

He also can sit on the couch and be cuddly. He loves his people and wants to please them. He is looking for his forever home where he can be taught the skills to succeed and have a new best friend.
