My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Mittens! Don’t be fooled by my kinda grumpy face- I’m a sweet girl who loves attention! I was very scared when I first came into rescue (my whole world had changed!), but I’ve come a long way since and I have truly opened up into a cat with lots of love to give.

Every morning, one of our people comes in to give us food, and I’m always there to help out. I have an excellent taste and someone has to be a taste-tester! Nothing gets past me and no bowl goes out without the Mittens Seal of Approval. I’ll have only the best for my fellow feline pals!

After a hard morning’s work, I return to the cat room for my second job: making sure the pillows don’t fly away. This is also a very important task. I mean, if the pillows flew off, where would we have to nap?! I often watch cat TV while on duty here, which is a great way to relax and spend the next several hours of my day until it’s time for treats.

Ah, treat time. The hectic time of day where everyone gathers in the main room for some Temptations. Me, though? I like to sit next to my person on the desk and wait patiently and politely. I know I’ll get those snacks and maybe I’ll even get extras because I’m being proper and waiting my turn. No clambering over everyone for me!

When the day starts to quiet down, I start to settle down with it. I’ll roll around and play with my catnip toys before I give one more round of taste testing. Then I sit at the desk for lots of love and pets- It’s officially snuggle time and I’ll never miss out on that!

And that’s a day in my life! I’ve been here at the rescue since November 2020, making friends and watching them go to their homes, but I know my perfect home is out there too.

If you’d like to meet me, I’m looking forward to meeting you- just make sure you come prepared to give lots of pets!

Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, rabies (if old enough) and a FVRCP vaccine. It also includes a FIV/FeLV test and microchip with no transfer fees.

We are a foster-based rescue, so adoptable animals are in private homes in the NW Florida Panhandle. The best way to meet one of our pets is to attend our adoption events on Saturday. To find out where we'll be this week, please check out the EVENTS tab or visit our Facebook page at www.SavingwithSoul.com.

If you would like to get the process started to adopt one of our pets, just go here: www.SavewithSoul.com and select "Adopt" on the top menu.

Thank you for considering a rescued pet!
