My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mikayla - Border Collie Mix - Female - 5 years - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit www.twyla.org

Mikayla is a 5 year old female Border Collie mix who is active and a bit silly and very lovable. She loves to snuggle as much as she likes to run and play - she is still learning the releasing portion of the fetch game, but she is smart and learns quickly. She is a people pleaser and wants to learn, although when it comes to leash walking nicely, her excitement sometimes gets the better of her and she pulls to get to the exciting smell or irresistible person who wants to pet her. Mikayla is very quiet in the house - her foster family has yet to hear her bark - but she will let you know when she needs a potty break. She is very respectful with items in the house that are not hers, she has not displayed any inappropriate chewing, scratching or taking of items that aren't hers. She is very cat curious and is displaying a significant prey drive, so a house without cats would probably be best.

Mikayla is very active and is looking for an active family that will run and play with her, another dog and/or kids would also be great.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
