My story

Hey there my name is Momma and I’m looking for a family that wants a chill doggie companion. These are my favorites things: I love to fetch, run around the yard and roll in the grass. I want to lounge on the couch next to you. I love road trips and can be your riding buddy. McDonalds? Did you say McDonalds? Can we share an 8-piece chicken nuggets? I wuv chicken nuggets, don’t you?

I have so much love to give you. Can we meet? I am potty, crate trained, I walk well on a leash, did I tell you I wuv car rides, and if you watch a scary movie I’ll protect you and should you watch a sad movie I’ll lick your tears away.  I’m up to date on my vaccines, spayed, & microchiped, so I can find you should I get lost. I love other dogs but have a prey drive so please no cats in the home.

Please go to and complete an application, I do it for you, but I ain’t got thumbs.

Hope to see you soon, it will be love at first sight. Remember, when you're good to Mama,

Mama's good to you

My adoption fee is $300 and I will be up to date on all my shots and spayed. I can only be adopted up to 3 hours away from Gainesville, Ga. If you think I am the one please put in an application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoption is a four part process.

Application: You will be required to submit general information along with personal and vet references.

Home visit: Potential adopters will receive a home visit by one of our members.

Meet -n- Greet: All family members (fur babies included) must meet the foster parent and pup they wish to adopt.

Here at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, each adoption contribution is a flat rate per dog. We do not adjust this rate based on the "popularity" of a dog. We believe every dog is worthy of an owner that sees the value in them. Each adoption contribution is used to cover the expenses incurred for that dog and other dogs in our program.

Go meet their pets

Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, INC is located in the quaint town of Gillsville, in the foothills of the Georgia Mountains, just south of Gainesville. Our rescues are fostered in loving homes located in Hall, Jackson, and neighboring counties.

More about this rescue

We are a small canine rescue group located in Northeast Georgia that works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, fully vet, and re-home faithful dogs that have been tossed out of cars onto rural roads. We are a registered, 501c3 tax deductible Non Profit Rescue and we are licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture

All dogs in our program have been previously reported to animal control to ensure they were not lost pups who had a family diligently looking for them. We do not turn a dog away due to breed, health concerns, or age. It is our goal to keep these dogs out of animal shelters, thus saving their lives and providing more time to the dogs already in shelters to find their forever family.
