WE PLACE DOGS ONLY WITHIN A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD.

Ninja, Saber's brother went to the Rainbow Bridge he had cancer.

These two older gentlemen were the original “odd couple”. Despite their different appearances, they are brothers, born in the same litter, and have spent their entire lives together. Because they have never lived apart and share a lifelong bond, we believe they should be adopted together. They spent the first 11 years of their lives living largely isolated life in a garage. They were surrendered to rescue Home At Last Sanctuary (HALS) year ago, when their owner could no longer care for them. Since being surrendered to HALS their lives have greatly improved and they are now excellent house dogs who love nothing more than spending time with their people.

Saber is now looking for his Lifetime home Saber is the darker of the two and has a longer thicker soft and fluffy coat. He has been on a weight loss/exercise program and is now almost down to his target weight. Meals and treats are still his favorite things in life but he enjoys his daily walks. Saber is mostly blind in one eye, due to glaucoma, and gets eye drops every day in both eyes. The eye drops are not costly.   Even though he is likely blind in one eye it does not affect his ability to see.  One of his favorite activities is to find a comfy spot near a window and watch birds, squirrels and people go by. He has a beautiful, melodic voice and occasionally likes to announce when someone or something particularly interesting passes by. He does require some occasional brushing, and he’s learned over the last year to enjoy it.

Saber would like nothing more than to find a home where he can spend his retirement years in comfort, being loved by his family. Saber is house trained and display excellent house manners. They also really enjoy walks and have very good leash manners. We think he will transition easily into their lifetime home and will do fine without crating or confinement. In no time at all, these two guys will be your best friends. Ninja and Saber have greeted numerous foster dogs that have come in, helping them through that difficult time of transition. And they’ve watched numerous foster dogs go home to their forever homes. We are hoping now is their time, to find their loving, forever home .
