My story

Bubba Lee is looking for a person to call his own. His ideal home is one where he will get to be loyal to his person, without other pets and children. It's not that he can't handle short interactions, as long as an experienced dog person is holding his leash, its just that he prefers his space from other pets for day to day life.
Bubba Lee is a heeler/rottie mix and appears to be used to staying outside. He can be stand-offish but comes around with food. Bubba Lee does great with other dogs, even other male dogs. Bubba will show resource guarding behaviors around food, and will need to be fed separately. Weighs 42 pounds DOB 4-15/2018...All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. If they cannot remain with their adopter, they must be returned to the Haven.

Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies under the age of 6 months - $150
Dogs weighing 30 pounds and less - $200
Dogs over 6 months old- $90
Cats under the age of 6 months old - $75
Cats over the age of 6 months old - $65

Go meet their pets

The sanctuary is open to the public. We encourage you to bring along any potential fur-siblings to help pick out your new pet as well. We also hold monthly offsite adoptions at Petsmart and Petco stores in Springfield Missouri, Fayetteville & Rogers Arkansas, and at Orscheln's Farm & Home in Republic, MO. Please find us on Facebook to see where we're going next! (Schedules vary) We don't always get a chance to check our emails throughout the day, so the quickest way to reach us is by giving us a call at 417-835-3647. Come out and meet your new best friend!

More about this shelter

We are a no-kill sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs and cats, and for those left homeless by the death of their guardian. We provide an environment as homelike as possible with lots of loving care to our furry residents. It may take days or years, but we will always keep trying for all of the animals in our care. Volunteers and donations are always needed and welcome!
