Hello. My name is Shadow because I love to be your shadow. I am about 2 years old and a Chihuahua mix. I’m sweet and lovable, goofy and silly, playful and joyful. I love belly rubs, and cuddling next to my human. I especially love sleeping under the covers. I love to run around a big yard with my Golden Retriever foster system, while establishing I’m the boss. Yes, I know I’m smaller, but shhh...don’t tell her. I have 2 other furry foster siblings that are small and medium-sized and we get along wonderfully. They don’t pay attention to me and I reciprocate. Because humans seem to not have been very kind to me, I am fearful of new faces and need a slow introduction. I need someone who will love me, accept my fears and be patient to help me continue to blossom. My foster momma says I am doing wonderfully and one day I will be my best self. I prefer a home with older teens and/or adults. They say I’m special and will be a great addition to that one special family. Are you it?

Shadow is currently being fostered in North Carolina and can transport North to his furever home beginning mid to late March.
