My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mila belonged to a homeless man in Austin, Texas who was more than willing to sell her for what he "paid for her," a whopping $300.00. At only 5 months old, she was dehydrated and losing most of her hair to demodex mange. Little Mila had a swollen face and skin that was scabbed, bleeding and incredibly uncomfortable. Thankfully, her owner was willing to negotiate and we purchased Mila for $180... as small price for such a spunky & loving girl. Mila was successfully treated for mange, secondary skin infections and intestinal parasites. At about 11 months old, she is now up to date on vaccinations, spayed and on heartworm prevention.

We feel that LOYAL is the best word to describe her character with "affectionate" and "athletic" as close seconds. She is the perfect dog for an active individual or family who will never forget to be just as loving. Lol, it may be good for her future family to learn ahead of time that she is quite the hugger (you'll get two paws around the neck and about 55 kisses to the face while you're stuck in her embrace). Initially, she is a little shy at dog parks, but warms up quickly to playful and friendly dogs. Mila has displayed some guarding behavior around high reward items like marrow bones, but has no issues eating meals or receiving treats alongside her doggie housemates.
