Pico is a very loving, 3-year old Havanese. He loves to cuddle and play with his toys. He is VERY smart. For example, he's trained to ring a bell when he needs to go outside for the bathroom; he responds to the commands "stay," "sit," "down," and "no." He gives different sounds (whimpers) when he's signaling that he wants you to get a toy, versus when he has to go outside, or if he's scared--he's a great communicator. He loves to play catch inside with his squeaky toys. Pico needs a loving home that does not receive lots of visitors and has a yard to run around. Pico has anxiety with dogs and strangers. He barks extensively and trembles. We've worked with our vet and an animal behaviorist--but to no avail. He is very comfortable at home and in his own safe space. He doesn't mind being left alone if his owners go out or to work. But his anxiety kicks in when he's on walks and sees other dogs, or when our kids' friends come over. He needs a calm, loving home, without lots of visitors.
