My story

Say hello to Mikey!
Mikey is very affectionate male between 3-5 years old. He loves giving head rubs and chilling by your side. He is quite sweet but he needs a special adopter who will be patient to make him feel safe and understand his needs. He had previously been living on the streets and we believe may have been abused. He is small but has a mighty personality and ideally would do best as an only cat. So far he has been stressed by other cats in his fosters home. He is slowly learning the life of an indoor cat, of warm beds, learning to play with toys, learning what love is and that not all humans are bad, and he loves food. He is very food oriented and his fave is soft food (he is not a fan of crunchies)! He loves playing with catnip toys, plush toys but not a fan of wand toys. He loves sitting in the window and watching the outdoors but is very good and never scratches the screens or tries to escape. He does have trust issues so it may take him a while to warm up to someone. He does have some fear of hands and is still learning they are good for scratches and yummy treats, he is okay as long as are slow and let him come to you. Once he knows you are safe he will climb on your lap or by your side when he wants attention, however he still only wants pets in short time frames as he does get over stimulated with too much petting. He is a little love bug! For more information, please e-mail us at acatsrescue@gmail.com
