Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We adopted little Groot from the Charlottesville Albemarle ASPCA with the intention of providing an older cat with a companion. He immediately warmed to us and after a week of isolation from our resident cat, was introduced to our home.
Groot is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever known. He is affectionate, playful, energetic, attentive and vocal. He loves interacting with us and our other cat and has learned to fetch toys. He loves to cuddle and to be handled and petted. He has never scratched or bitten us.
The reason we are offering him to a new home is because we are unable to get our older cat to stay at her bowl and eat a meal without walking away, allowing him the opportunity to clean her bowl. the result is that he’s eating too much and she’s not eating enough.
Since he is such a lovable guy, the decision to offer him to a new home has not been an easy one but we feel it is in his best interest. I think he would be ideal for a family with young children.
