-----------------------

William was found inside of a tied-up plastic bag when he was three-month old. Someone dumped him in a trash can by the High Speed Rail Station in Taoyuan. One of the cleaning crew heard a strange sound coming from the trash can and found a little black puppy - it was smelly, dirty, skinny, and covered in ticks. The cleaning did not know what to do and was going to leave the puppy outside of the station and a kind traveler offered to take the puppy.

After 1 month of loving care, William regained his health! Because he was adorable and loved people, he was quickly adopted. However, being a typical puppy with lots of energy and started teething, he was returned twice by two separate adopters. Even though these were considered negative experiences by many, William did not lose his confidence and thought he was going on vacation when he was returned to his foster family. He was the same loving, cuddling boy.

About 6 month of age, William was adopted by a couple who were experienced dog owners. 6 months passed and everything seemed to be great until the mom found out she's pregnant in early 2021. They have decided that they wanted to devote most of their attention on this soon to arrive baby, they thought they would return William because they did not think they would have time for him. This is quite common, especially in Taiwan, where new expecting parents often give away their dogs or cats. It truly broke many people's hearts.

WIlliam was already 1-year-old when he was returned again. This time, he seemed to know he was unwanted. Even when he was returned to his original foster family, he stopped eating for a few days, did not want to go out, and lacked any energy. The rescuer contacted Life of Hope Foundation, and we've decided we would lend a hand to help him find his forever home - his story was just simply too sad.

When we first met him, he was a little bit nervous because it was an unfamiliar environment. Nevertheless, he was still wagging his tail and his behind, and showing confidence. William was very friendly with people and dogs during that meet-up. He started playing with other dogs from the Foundation. It was quite adorable! Because of William's size - 55 pounds, he seemed to be too big for many Taiwanese (He will not get any bigger in size, except maybe chubbier LOL). We were quite smitten with him after the first meeting and have decided to help him find someone who appreciates and loves him so that he will never get his heart broken.

William knows how to use a pee pad indoor but would prefer to do his business outside. He loves to play and is energetic! We believe a house with a fenced yard would be an ideal situation for him. He does not cause damage inside the house, except he likes to chew toilet papers or tissues (like many dogs). We would recommend not letting him have access to any toilet paper or tissues! LOL

If you are willing to give William a forever home, please contact us! We will be happy to share more details about this lovely boy.
