My story

Hi my name is Nadia. I have been in my foster home for almost a year. I love my foster parents but I would really love a permanent home. I like to say I'm a unique ginger girl as I have freckles on my lips (but don't most redheads have freckles somewhere?). My favorite pastime is chilling in my cat tree, looking out of windows. I'm a very mellow girl, but I do occasionally like to play with my catnip toys. Like any diva I like my hair brushed and my chin stroked. I have the softest fur ever. I may not jump in your lap but I love to lay down next to you and keep you company on the sofa. Although I'm quiet most of the time I can have a pretty good verbal conversation with you when I'm in the mood. I'm happiest when there's more than one person in the household as I love attention. I would do best in an active home, possibly one with a gentle dog, but no cats.

Why adoption is a great option

Nadia, a Flushing Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
