My story

Trixie (black, 12 years) and Caramel (beige, 11 years) bonded mother and daughter Chihuahuas. Their family had to move somewhere that did not allow pets. Both girls have been to see a cardiac specialist and they currently have no symptoms besides heart murmurs and need no medications, though this could change in the future. Their future home should take them to see the cardiologist yearly.

The girls are incredibly sweet and loving. They like everybody they meet and should fit in with most families. They are crate trained but will have occasional accidents in the home. These girls deserve a loving home for their golden years.

Why adoption is a great option

Trixie and Caramel, a Va Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Va Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Va Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Va Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Va Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Va Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
