This little sweet girl, Red, is looking for a family that she can call her very own. Red is Spayed, Microchipped, Vaccinated, Dewormed, Heartworm Negative, and is current on her Heartworm prevention medication. (She comes with 5 more months of prevention medication). She will take her Bravecto medication tomorrow....which will prevent her from having fleas for 3 months!! 😊
It is believed, by her vet, that Red is about 9.5 months old, 47 pounds, and a Golden Retriever or short haired Collie mix female. Red is dog friendly, kid friendly, and people friendly. We have not been able to test her with cats.
Red is a calm dog, house trained, does not jump up on the couch. She is a lower energy dog....and enjoys hanging out on her dog beds or walking around with her people.
She does well on a leash and we had to work on learning it’s safe to go in the car....but she’s doing GREAT now!! She will jump right in and out. Red does fantastic with her crate. We have taught her that this is her own personal “space,” so she will go in and lay down on her own. With brand new experiences, she can be a little “unsure”, at first, but is VERY quick to learn what’s safe....we have been making trips to Home Depot and meeting lots of new friends all over the place!!
Red LOVES turkey tendon treats, kinda likes the Alpo T-Bone treats, but isn’t much of a fan of any of the other kinds we have offered her. This sweet baby sits down when you start to pet her....and often times she will lay on her back for belly rubs. She has never shown any aggression towards any people or animals....but she will bark if she hears a strange sound, in the middle of the night.
Red is an AMAZING doggie and will be a fantastic addition to her new family.
