Did you know that in the city of Elk Grove you can have a backyard flock of up to 5 chickens? Let us help you start your flock Ginger! This young hen is of laying age, and we estimate in the 2-5 year range. She came to us as a stray and unfortunately was not claimed. Though wary of people initially, Ginger is willing to eat from our hands and we think with time could bond with her new owners and be a fun and interactive pet. She appears healthy and is currently laying eggs.

Ginger rejects the title of "flightless birds" and will need a home that is properly secured (either a very large property or a 100% enclosed run) not only to keep her safe from predators, but also to keep here from exploring the neighborhood.
