My story

Stormi is a very special girl. She is beautiful, smart, loving, confident, and head strong. She loves being around people and lounging around the house with you. She can also be temperamental and has some behavioral tendencies we would be happy to discuss with you in detail. An experienced cat owner would be best for this girl. She has some bengal/jungle cat like qualities that her family will need to be cognizant of. When her body language and cues are observed and respected she does very well and can be a great companion. She tends to do best in larger spaces so she can retreat to her own area when she's feeling overwhelmed. She knows how to self moderate and when she has the space to do so she will take some time for herself when she needs a break. She would also benefit from some outdoor access (if this can be done in a safe way). This special girl has been through a lot and deserves a chance at a forever home. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about her.

If your application is approved we will schedule a phone interview.

3.

Meet the Pet

We require that all potential adopters meet the cat before committing to adoption.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

If you decide a cat is right for you we will have you fill out a basic adoption contract and go over cat care information with you.

5.

Pay Fee

We do ask for a fee for all our cats to help us recuperate the cost of their spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea/worm treatment, etc.

6.

Take the Pet Home

We prefer to deliver the cat to you so we can do a brief walk through/home visit before leaving. All COVID safety protocols will be used.

Additional adoption info

SDSCS reserves the right to deny any application if we believe you are not the right fit for a given cat.

Go meet their pets

All adoption interactions will be at foster homes. We do not have a shelter location. All COVID safety protocols will be in place. Message us if you have concerns.

More about this rescue

San Diego Street Cat Society is a volunteer run organization, providing free advice and assistance trapping and managing community cats. Our goal is to fill the gap between the community and the shelter, especially during COVID when shelters and rescues are being stretched thin. While we mostly TNR feral cats, we occasionally find kittens or very social adults that would do best in loving homes. Our volunteers foster these cats until we can find their forever homes. Please visit our website to learn more about us! And find us on Instagram to follow our cats!
