-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryder is a handsome medium sized (45lb) 2 year old mixed breed male.

His former family did a DNA test and that came back as him being American Staffordshire Terrier 50%, 12.5% Border Collie, 12.5% Shetland Sheepdog, and 25% Herding dog

He is a very smart, social boy but MUST have a family who will be committed to continuing his training with MethodK9 with online courses. Due to his past, he has an intense reaction to having his nails clipped and going to the vet. His future adopter needs to have the patience and understanding to help desensitize him to these situations.

He loves people & would do best in home an active home with kids over the age of 12 who know how to be respectful of dogs.

Some of his favorite things to do are cuddling, playing, running, playing in the water, chewing on toys, playing tug and fetch.

He is an active boy who would make a great hiking or running partner but who will also happily cuddle up with you too!

He is crate trained, house trained, knows basic commands, and walks great on leash using a training collar.

He is good with social, well balanced dogs and is good with cats too.

He is fully vaccinated including his rabies vaccine, he is microchipped, and he is neutered.

He is not a dog that would do well in an apartment type living situation.

More about this rescue

Rescue4All is a grass roots 501c3 non-profit, non-breed discriminatory animal rescue made up of volunteers & foster homes. Help us keep the living ALIVE! Rescue for All Pledge of Animal Allegiance: 'We pledge Allegiance to the animals, suffering from cruelty and neglect. We are a refuge that exists to help you, to save you. One caring safe haven, enduring, with love and Rescue 4 All!' ABOUT US First and foremost; I am an animal advocate. Animals are not property or a commodity they are living, feeling beings that deserve the best. I believe in educating people about what is available to help them do the best for their animals and the importance of spaying and neutering. I am a fighter against animal cruelty, neglect and abuse. I do believe that a No-Kill nation is possible and one day it will be a reality. Animals are a life time commitment for their ENTIRE life. There are always exceptions to every rule but those are very rare. I decided to start Rescue 4 All because there are so many animals that are in need and so many people that simply do not know better. I will stand up and champion for ALL animals and that is why Rescue 4 All exists: to help the voiceless, the innocent. Our focus for Rescue 4 All is to save those animals that are in the shelter system with no other options. I believe animals deserve a second chance, and they are in shelters because people have let them down. Rescue 4 All is a non-discriminatory rescue which means that all breeds are welcome! Our number one mission is to save the animals that are in the shelter system in danger of euthanasia! R4A is here to help those animals that need a second chance, whether they simply need training, life skills, socialization or if they are injured, ill, have serious medical issues, genetic defects (like Megaesophagus or Epilepsy) from young to old we will lend a hand if we are able and a safe place. Our Animals and Volunteers thank you for all your support!
