My story

Preacher is a 2 year old Malamute mix. He weighs in around 85lbs and is ready for his Forever home!

Preacher aka 'Preach' loves to play with other dogs, run/lounge in the yard, snuggle and go for 2 - 3 mile walks. Preacher loves to go to work with his foster mom in the Seattle/Bellevue area 4 days a week and does great in an office environment and meeting new dogs and people. He sleeps most of the day and when not sleeping, will play quietly with his toys.

REQUIREMENTS (applications that do not meet requirements will not be responded to)
- Fully fenced, 6ft+, large yard outside of the city
- Family that is not gone long hours or has staggering schedules or can take him to work with them
- Must have another playful dog
- Northern breed experience
- Adult only or kids over age of 12
- No cats or birds

Preacher is a leaner and loves attention but also appreciates his quiet moments lounging in the yard. Preacher walks well on leash but is very strong and may pull when he sees a squirrel.

Preacher is potty trained but struggles in confined spaces therefore he is not kennel trained.

Preacher is neutered, UTD on his shots and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $500.

More about this rescue

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or a kennel in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs visit our vet for a health screening, are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations. Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment. We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month. Interested? Send us an email at fhdrwa@gmail.com and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
