My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pongo!

His foster mom calls him "Dude". He is a super playful pup. If you are looking for a big dog with a lot of energy this is your guy :) He does well with big and small dogs. Foster doesn't have cats so we don't know how he would do with them.
He lives with 3 teenagers, 2 small dogs and one large.

They learned he knows how to "sit" and "shake"

He follows one of his human foster sisters around. He has become attached very quickly. He is definitely a dog who wants a person but LOVES to play with other dogs.

Foster mom said " have these long jerky type treats. Like 3 feet long. I went to give him one and his eyes got huge and he tucked and ran ? like a dog who had been hit type run. He saw it again and ran and hid behind the counter. I then broke it up and put it on his bed. He was okay with it." sad. so long thin objects spook him apparently

Foster mom also said "Pongo is a relaxed dog...until he gets a playmate! He doesn’t seem to realize how big he is and hops around like a tiny dog. He’s good with kids and loves to trot around and play. He knows some commands and is eager to learn. He is loving, sweet and playful and bonds with his people quickly."

Pongo does have heartworms. We are willing to cover the treatment but the adopter will have to make 3 trips to our partner vet in Cedar Lake, IN.
