My story

HANK - 11 MONTH OLD MALE NEUTERED SHEPHERD/ HUSKY MIX  75 LBS.

Are you swooning over Hank?  He is a bona fide Hunk!!

This beautiful boy is a wonderful dog -- social with other dogs, very playful, seeks attention and affection.  He is crate trained, leash trained and presently in the Paws for Life Prison Training Program.  He completes his 6 week training on 4/27.  At that time, he will  receive his Canine Good Citizen Certificate, and. will be available for adoption.  As part of the program, the trainer will work with his people so they may continue the structure and fine points of working with Hank who is still considered a pup. He is active, and would do best in an active home with other dogs and a yard.

He was very lucky to have been chosen for this training program and you will be just as lucky to adopt him.

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, we choose dogs that would most likely be euthanized at the shelter. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
