HI! I'm Dante, an approximately 2 year old male with a zest for life. But it wasn't always like that for me. I came from a background of abuse and neglect, and life just really wasn't all that great at all! I've been through a lot since MSSR rescued me, but I'm learning now that life can be good, and hands can do more than just hurt. I get a little mouthy at times when playing, but I really don't mean to. I'm just so excited that people pay attention to me now; and the GOOD kind of attention!
I need a very special home. I get along well with other dogs great, but would love to be an only child, or maybe just have one more dog as a companion. I don't like cats, though. I love children, and have been around them quite a bit, but we've learned that due to my activity level, I'd be better suited in a home without toddlers because I might accidentaly knock them over and hurt them. I'd feel aweful about that!
My new family must be willing to commit to obedience classes, since this will help me continue to develop and form a bond with them I'd really like to stay close to the people who rescued me though, so I must go to a local home (within 50 miles of Memphis).
I am utd on vaccinations, neutered, house and crate trained, and I have been treated for heartworm disease. That wasn't a lot of fun, but boy do I feel better now!. I'm a very healthy, robust young man who just wants to please. Could you be the perfect match for me?
Dante must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $200.

Note: We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes.
