My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mai Tai is a spayed female cat, probably born 2018.  She arrived from a place with lots of related cats.  Mai Tai  started out very reserved - nice, but uncertain about new people (she was used to just one family).  She is in a colony with two other cats from the same original household - Empress and Rueben.  We don't know how they are all related, but they are.  Mai Tai seems to be the most confident of the group.  She likes her wall boxes but has no problem with people petting her while she's in there: she's not hiding, she just likes to be securely tucked in when she naps.  She has become the Zen master of her room.  She frequently shares the box or beds with one or both of her family members (Rueben is usually with her or close by) OR with scared new kitties.  She is happy to share space and will groom the new, scared cats to calm them.  Mai Tai is very serene and would like a home with minimal noise and fuss.  It would be nice if Mai Tai and one of her relatives were adopted together since they are very close, but it's not mandatory and Mai Tai might be fine as an only kitty.
