My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peg is our precious little 17lb 8(ish) year old shih tzu princess. We rescued her from the city shelter after she was found as a stray. While her background is unknown, Peg was found matted and covered in dermal cysts. After treatment in one of our medical foster homes, she is ready for her forever home.

Peg loves other dogs and gets along with cats. She is an ambassador to her foster siblings and welcomes new pooches to the family. Social, outgoing, and affectionate, Peg would be a wonderful addition to any home. She can be sassy, so be ready to be well trained- by Peg! Our girl will thrive in a home that will dote on her and maintain her princess status. We hope you will love our irresistible girl as much as we do! She deserves it!

Her cysts can be something that persists. However, they are benign and do not need intervention. They are healing on their own, and new ones are expected to do so as well.

Peg is housebroken and knows basic commands (usually).
