My story

Hi! Stella is my name and playing is my game! I am a ~1 yr old border collie x German shepherd mix and I am a ball of energy! Four hour hike? No problem. Ten mile trail run? Bring it on! I'm a super social girl who loves to play with other dogs (cats are also really fun to chase, so probably best that I go to a home without them). I'm not big on snuggling; but, once I have my exercise fix for the day I will settle down nicely next to you on the floor. My ideal home would be one that has a big fenced back yard and some active adults (no kids for me please) who want to take me on all of their outdoor adventures. I am learning to like my crate and not to pull so much on a leash. I am house-broken, spayed and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact

More about this rescue

Herding Haven is a non-profit (501c3) organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs with special needs so that they may become more adoptable. The dogs in our rescue come largely from shelters where they have been deemed "unadoptable" to the general public due to physical disabilities, medical problems and/or behavioral issues. Herding Haven provides medical care, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and then works to very hard to find the dogs the perfect forever home.
