My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Smith is a happy-go-lucky guy! He recently lost his brother, Wesson, so he's a little sad. Smith loves to be the center of attention! He a very good house dog! He's not a big fan of steps, so he won't climb a full set of stairs unless it's thundering (then he'll be up by your bed 30 minutes before you hear the storm). Smith enjoys walks and chasing balls.

He knows commands: sit, down, drop it (he is always carrying something but knows he can't bring it inside), clear (to stop barking). He knows hand signals for sit and down (lays on the floor for a treat). If he hears the treat jar he knows it's time to go out to his outdoor kennel.

Smith has a large, outdoor kennel for use during the day. He's also very good in the heated shop when it's cold. He doesn't like being outside when it is super cold. If it's been raining he knows to stay in the mudroom until he is told he can come in to the rest of the house.
