VERY SWEET CALM DOG!

UPDATE AUG 20, 2013 - Picture of Hannah with new family!!!

Hannah is a very sweet beagle mix adult dog  that was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to our shelter under the assumption that she was carrying puppies.  As it turned out, she was not pregnant, but had the appearance of having had puppies recently.  We had her spade and after a few weeks of nutritious dog food and exercise, this little 'mother' has gotten back her girlish figure...with maybe an extra pound or two!
Her shyness has diminished here at her foster home, replaced with an 'happy dance' for attention and treats, and she gets along marvelously with all other dogs both at home and in public.  She has had overnight visits at a home with cats and has no cat aggression what so ever
She has been successfully treated for Lyme disease which she had tested positive for, but shows no signs of the disease (was treated by a 30 day antibiotic which we administered, no further treatment is needed...but once a dog is tested positive....will always test positive...no cure).
She does show signs of leeriness towards some teenage boys and some men (not yet determined whether it's a hat or camo attire that sets in fear), and will back away, bark and growl in fright.
She is a very content 'sleeper' both in a crate or on a dog bed.  Here at her foster home she does 'go pottie' outside, but had a few accidents early on until she's gotten use to our household schedule, but has yet to alert anyone at home that she 'needs to go outside'.
This little girl would be a perfect low maintenance pet and deserves a chance to be with loving and kind people whom will earn back her trust in mankind!
