Greetings! My name is Dale (HWTH#21086A). I am a Chihuahua mix, born on 4/13/2013 and I weigh 8 lbs. I was found by a good Samaritan in Palmdale and relinquished to Halfway to Home so the nice people could take care of me and hopefully find my owners. They never came for me so now I am ready to find a new Forever home. I may be a senior, but you would never guess that based on my playful and goofy personality. Chihuahuas were bred to be companion animals and we love being around our humans, whether it is in your lap for cuddling, at your side for walking or traveling in the car, or in your bed for sleeping (if that is ok with you!). My size makes me a great fit for an apartment or condo. I am not sure if I am potty-trained but I have no doubt that with some patience I can learn your routine and where it is ok for me to go. Daily walks, regular brushing, and good-quality kibble will keep me healthy and happy. If a devoted friend is what you want, how about giving me a try? Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia.
