Our volunteer Colleen and our employee Breana both remind us how much they enjoy spending time with Lucas !
They each captured their favorite photos of times spent with this boy on walks or just hanging out while cleaning his kennel.
Lucas was selected for euthanizing at at inner city shelter, we were asked to help him and at the time we had some kennels open .
He was a very lucky boy to enter our shelter doors but he was been here way too long .
He's great with adults and seems to warm up quickly . He's fantastic on the leash and eager to please .
Breana spent so much time with him when she was pregnant and he was simply so sweet with her , Colleen has been spending more and more time with him and he has been wonderful with her as well! We hope to get this boy into a home before the kennel stress overtakes him .
No other dogs or cats . No small children. He responds better to adults and knows his boundaries.
Colleen says :
"Lucas and I had a nice walk today he even found a stick which made him so happy I really got to see this guys personality come right out. He was soaking up the sunshine and rolling around in the grass. Something I've never seen before it melted my heart. If your looking for a new best friend this big baby loves treats and will reward you with lots of slobbery kisses 🤣 "
Thank you Colleen and Breana for the photos and comments and for reminding everyone just how amazing this boy is ! Apply online at www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com #adoptdontshop #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #GriffinPondAnimalShelter
